Installing AG on steep slope

Greetings!

I'm trying to decide if I can get away with installing a 21' or 24' AG on a steep slope. Last year I had a 16' softwall Walmart special running with no issues. The thing is I would like to get rid of the retaining wall (needed to go 21 or 24 anyway) and back fill right up against the outside wall after putting in some sort of insulator.

Right now it's a tight fit for an 18', so my plan was to rip out the retaining wall and dig to within 2 feet of the driveway and down, and basically shift the dirt to the downside until I got me a nice 25' circle with a firm clay surface. I have a tractor with a loader and blade which is how I got this thing setup for my 16' last summer.

I packed things down tight and never did experience any erosion or sinkage last year despite heavy rains.

I've been looking at the Yukon hybrid, but perhaps the various other offerings from national pool wholesalers. I don't know if certain brands are better suited for backfilling than others? I'd like to keep the cost of the pool itself below $2k.
