Looking for comments on Compupool CSPC36 (Good/Bad/Ugly)

Soon to be pool owner. 17K Gal Kidney Shaped pool. Concrete/Gunite/Marcite pool. Not sure what the owner is using right now. BBB or other method, I've reviewed BBB method. Got a Taylor K-2006 test kit. Can't test the pool water yet. We take possession in May.
I'm considering installing the CSPC36 SWCG. I plan on running the pump/SWCG 8 hours a day. 4 in the evening and 4 in the afternoon to keep the chlorine levels more uniform.

The CSPC36 is supposed to be good for pools to 40K but I believe that 100% duty cycle.
I'm looking for recommendations, or comments about this version of SWCG. Price is the driving issue here. I don't think I need lots of features.
