Doughboy w/deep end & ledges

I have a 32X16' Doughboy AG, vinyl, with a 6.5' deep end. I've tried suction cleaners with all the hoses which is a pain to hook up and keep the suction going. I got a Polaris with the round bottom disc but it requires a pressure monitor in the tubing line which I've never gotten to work right. I finally just started scooping and using the suction on a pole but that too, uses a LOT of water and is getting harder for me to do alone.

I've been thinking about a robotic cleaner but can't find any information that would tell me whether a particular unit could handle the 18" ledge that surrounds the deep end. Intuition tells me it would fall off the ledge into the bottom on its side and render itself useless.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a non-suction port, hosed cleaner that could handle my pool cleaning?
