Should I convert to 2-speed?

Should I investigate converting my 2 HP Whisperflo to a 2-speed? I have a 37-40K gallon pool, solar, swg, etc. The pump is not very old. As far as I know from research, it was replaced about 5 years ago. Our electric bills are sky high. If I can get the money back in less than 2 years, I would like to do it. I run the pump 3-4 hours/day in the winter and 10-13 hours/day in the summer for the solar and the turnover. I also have a Polaris sweep (280 I think) with its own booster. Jandy Aqualink controller. I have sparkling water.

Would I be able to use a 2-speed in my system? It looks as though my controller, or an upgrade, can control a 2-speed, but I am wondering about running the sweep etc.

Is it even worth my time and energy to get the quotes? Our rate is about $0.30/Kwh.
