I am a new pool owner and I am wondering the best on-line store for a solar cover and chemicals.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

For the solar cover do a search at Google Squared (http://www.google.com/squared) using pool solar cover as your search terms. It'll build a spreadsheet for you with sources and prices.

What chemicals are you looking for?

Refills for Taylor test kits are reasonably priced at Amato Industries (http://www.amatoind.com/taylor-testing-reagents-c-30_35.html). This is my preferred supplier but there are many others.

Pool sanitizing and water balancing chemicals are at your grocery store, X-Mart, hardware store:
Bleach (chlorine)
Baking Soda (Alkalinity Increaser)
20 Mule Team Borax (pH Up)
Muriatic acid (pH Down)

It's much easier, faster and more cost effective to buy them locally than online.

Tell us a little about your pool.

We can't really answer that as "best" means different things to different people. There are a lot of on-line sellers and I've bought from a bunch of them.

Chlorine is not usually sold on-line--you have to get that locally. But test chems ARE sold on-line so you find who has what you need.

I often buy my reagents from http://www.spspools-spas.com. If you're looking for regular chemicals, we advocate bleach, Borax, and baking soda, all available at WalMart!
