Springs finally here! Pool company arriving Friday (5 days from today) to start up pool and equipment (they included it in my contract .......what the heck). I would like to uncover today and start pulling the plugs and getting the water up to skimmer/operating level.

Question ........ is it okay to leave the pool uncovered without the pump/filter running for 5 days?? And without adding any start-up chemicals until the pool company arrives 5 days from today?? It is supposed to be in the 60's here all week, with some sun and clouds.

Nah...I don't think it will be that sunny and hot to cause any problems with leaving it uncovered for several days. If you are concerned, you could always put a floater with some chlorine tabs in it, and go ahead and dump a quart of poly algaecide in the pool. It won't be circulating of course, but it'll help....and it will be in the water when you finally do start up your pump next week.
