Hi. I have a Johnny Weismuller pool, 24' x 52" tall round, about 6 years old and have to replace the liner due to the ice damage this past winter.
My last liner had a few wrinkles that always annoyed me.
I have installed the new one, with one inch of water in it so far, and it seems to have even more loose material than the last one. I worked the wrinkles towards the sides. I am worried that when the pool is filled, the bead won't stay in the track and there will be an excess of vinyl along the top.

My question is, should I start over and remove some sand from the bottom?
I always felt that was my mistake in the original installation. Here's a photo:

I do IG liners for a living, but have a bit of experience with AG liners.

I think you'd do best to bowl the floor, as you surmise  You also might want to lessen the cove at the bottom of the liner.

As long as you redrop the liner on a warm, sunny day, it will be able to stretch into the lower pool - without those wrinkles.

Let me know if you need more assistance on this, I'm here almost every day.

Thanks for the advice, waste.
I took out the liner, removed some sand from the base and from the coves, reinstalled it, and began filling it.
It looks much better now!
