View Full Version : Dolphin Diagnostic and freezing weather

I always take my Dolphin Diagnostic inside to the basement for the winter. We get below freezing weather here, and our garage is not heated nor insulated well, so even that drops below freezing at times. I am wondering if this is really necessary as long as I drain all the water out thoroughly. It is an automatic cleaner, much like an Aquabot, that climbs walls, etc. I called Maytronics, but the "technician" I spoke with seemed less knowledgeable than I would like.

Do any of you know if I could leave it in my possibly freezing garage, or would this cause damage to the motor? She says there is no oil in the motor, if that matters. I would hate to wreck it, but space is very limited in my small basement, and it does take up a considerable amount.

Thanks for any advice.

Sandy

No oil in the motor? I don't believe that!

My wonderful Blue Diamond just starting leaking oil--I cannot use it until it's fixed.

I had a Dolphin Diagnostic and I always stored it in the basement--things are fragile.

As long as there is ~ no water in the unit it should be fine if it gets below freezing :)

However, I wouldn't recommend storing it in the freezer:p

Yeah, takes up space you need for ice cream and steaks!
