I have a 24' AG Pool with a j hook liner. I need to replace it this year. I already have the new liner and ready to drain the pool. My question is once I drain the pool and remove the liner should I brace the walls in any way? The new liner probaly wont go in the same day. It may be a few days before I can get a guy to come out and install it.

I am hesitant to install the liner myself because I dont want any wrinkles in it. Am i right in having someone else do the liner for me? I installed the pool myself but had someone else install the liner the first time around.

Thanks in advance.

The pool should be fine for a couple of days without water in it:cool: To prevent rain damage and spring tree droppings on the bottom, I'd leave the old liner in until, at least, the day before the new liner gets installed. I imagine that some sort of touch up on the floor will need to be done before the new liner goes in - now is the perfect time to fix any humps or dips in the floor.

If you aren't comfortable with installing the liner yourself, by all means hire someone to do it! I would suggest that you be there and watch and help with the installation so you get an idea of what's involved so that you might have more confidence in doing it yourself if (when) the liner needs to be replaced again.

I hope all goes well with the install and that you have a GREAT season with the pool:)
