Hi all,
I have had an Aqua Comfort Heat Pump for 3 years (it's sold under the My Blue Pool Aqua-Heat LS 125 label). I noted it was completely dead one day with no error codes noted. The tech said it kept blowing the transformer which could be reset but then would blow out again. They sent another tech who replaced a valve yesterday. The heater works again but I noticed that even with the pool pump off the heat pump cycles on and off every minute or so. I know this can't be right. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be here? Or any opinions about the quality of this pump? It's a 5 ton unit I bought for a premium of $4000 because I wanted all the install to be done by the same company but it turns out they don't do the service anyway and I had to get a tech from Baltimore to come to NJ. It cost me $500 yesterday to fix it and frankly I'm wondering whether or not to stop the check until I get some answers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
