Water draining from Spa when filter pump turned on...

Greetings,

I've got a totally hayward system. Recently after I emptied out the little filter pump basket, I had problems getting the filter pump to re-prime. I was tweaking some return valves and such, and finally got the pump to prime.

Now when I switch the filer pump to "Spa" mode my spa starts to empty of water. I can't figure out what's going on, and would welcome any suggestions.

Is there a possibility that little flapper valve may be sticking?

Mike, there has to be a pool return open for you to drain the spa like that. Double check the valve positions for both pool and spa modes. If the valves are actuated double check that they are all on and toggle switches arte in the correct positions.
