Hi
I have a concrete deck around my pool and it borders with shrubs and flower beds. Every year it gets dirty (blackish color) and I need to power-wash it. The concrete is porous looking with small granules on the surface.
Can I use any additive to the water in order to clean better? There are coping stones around the pool and the grade is right, but I'm concerned about effecting the pool water and also the flowers and shrubs around.

I'm considering coating the surface with something in order to prevent the on going dirt accumulation. Any recommendations? If needed I can post pics.

I just wasted about 2 Hours using a product by ZAP called concrete cleaner. following the direction it did nothing.

so i went back to doing what i did last year.

Bleach. sprayed it on with a houshold spray bottle. using a good bristle broom i worked it into the concrete then power washed it off.

good as new;)
also since its bleach you dont have to worry about it getting in the pool.

Do you have any shrubs or flowers bordering your deck?
If you do, were they affected by the chlorine?

Mainly grass and some flowers.

I watered them down before and after.

everything is fine. just be as carefull as possible and spray them before and after.
