Chlorinator leaking from bottom

My Rainbow 320 is leaking from the bottom. From looking at the parts diagram, I can see that there is an o-ring at the bottom.

Can I just twist off the chlorinator from the divertor tee (part 7 in the diagram) to inspect the o-ring?

The top of the divertor tee looks threaded in the diagram, but my chlorinator base looks different (see pic below).
