We have had an AG 24' round pool since 1998. I have owned 3 covers during that time since they all seem to begin ripping apart after a couple of seasons. I'm looking for recommendations for a durable replacement.

Thanks!

Sorry I don't have an answer for you but I'm also looking for a new cover and found six different ones at one website alone.

Maybe someone who has experience with some of these covers can comment on the different models?

If this is a heat shrink cover, it may be something to consider!!

I have become quite cynical as my latest 16 mil clear cover has a "full 5 year warranty", but at the end of 3 years is getting binned.

The bubbles are all popping out and...."Sorry, that's the ONE THING the warranty doesn't cover...it only covers seam separation and delamination."

So the next one will be the cheapest clear cover I can find...If I've got to trash it after 3 years I'm not wasting the money on an expensive one again.

I'm looking for recommendations for a durable replacement.

Are you looking for a solar or winter cover?

I purchased a "domestic" cover at Specialty Pool Products (http://www.poolproducts.com/). I bought their line about the low quality of imported covers which they claim are all made in the same factory in China. I'll see if the US can make a better cover.

Very interesting! Which one did you buy?

I got the least expensive domestic cover:

1 WNC HPI DD1224RD NORTH AMERICAN 12 YR COVER FOR 24' RD GREEN/BLK 99.99

Plus $8.95 handling and shipping. We'll see if it lasts any longer than the imports!

Thanks for the information. I believe I'll try one! The price is pretty good considering what I paid for the "cheap" import from my local Doughboy pool dealer.

After a closing and opening, I can say this is a much better cover than the previous ones I had purchased. It should last much longer than them!

Glad to hear it! I just ordered a domestic cover today.
