At dawn and sunset weve got a large amount of bees that have dug "ant hole" looking mounds around the perimeter of the pool.

They were here last year too but this year it seems they have doubled. I dont see them going in the water itself, but just around the perimeter of the pool.

Any advice? Its getting so bad we are afraid to swim.

If there are distinct entrance and exit hole, the foam pesticide works well.

Not sure if the mounds are independent or connected, if there are a lot of exits the foam may not be the best. Would it be very disruptive to the area to dig them out? I did that with a wasp nest and had spray killer with me - both the spray and the foam, and was able to rot out the nest. I did look like a halloween refuge, dressed to the hilt in summer with no bar skin expsoed, incuding a toque, ski gloves and goggles.
