First, let me just say that our pool was finished in early June, is gunite, and has a SWC. I usually only test for FC and ph (since this pool still gobbles acid). I have the SWC dialed in now where I'm keeping my FC at 1-1.5ppm consistently. Salt level is at 3000 ppm. PH moves between 7.4-7.8 before I knock it back down. I know that CYA in the pool is less than 30 (probably way less). I am planning to add more CYA to bring it up at least to 30. TA and calcium are 100ish and 200ish. Haven't tested them in a while.
Now here's the issue. Both my wife and I have been noticing very dry, scaly skin since we started swimming. We don't even stay in the pool for very long at one time and usually towel dry upon exiting. Does anyone have a hypothesis for why this could be happening? Our hands, feet, etc are chapped like it's the middle of January here in Va.
Thanks for any help.
Chris
