Hi all,

Was wondering .. just got the K-2006 Taylor water test kit and applied the CYA test .. but was reading the docs and it was kinda not exacting in its phrasing ... my question is : Do I add drops until the first indication that the black dot starts to get cloudy? or do I add drops when the black dot appears cloudy? .. kinda wasted 1 test and did another .. but with only 2 vials of cya reagents .. looks like I'm gonna need somemore .. :( .. there must be another way to test for CYA levels that is not 'subjective'.

Thanks for all suggestions.:)

Unfortunately, the test IS subjective, but the photos in this link (http://www.taylortechnologies.com/ChemistryTopicsCM.ASP?ContentID=44) may help you. You pretty much don't want to see the black dot anymore. It's not just cloudy, but not really visible. If you think you see a hint of it, then note that value and add some more liquid and if it changes to be more obscure, then go with the higher number; otherwise, it's just your eye fooling you.
