I have read alot of the posts on how long to run the pump. I haven't seen any posts with my paticular denominators. 33 ft. round pool, 52" high, 26 inch sand filter with 2 speed(1/2 hp or 2hp) pump. I'm not good at math so if any one can help me figure out a good estimate of hours I should be running my pump I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Sharon

Your pump should have some info on how much water it will turn over per hour or at least some general guidelines. You should already have an idea how much water your pool holds.

I did find these 2 #'s on the pump
RPM 3450/1725
AMPS 16.4/4.4
my pool is 25,700 gallons

my filter is 26"
the pump is 2.5 hp and 1/2 hp
I always run it on the 1/2 hp

Any information on how long I should be running my pump I'd appreciate.

You would need to know the manufacturer and model number of the pump in order to look up the performance specs online. You can get big differences in the flow rate based on motor rating (max or up rated vs full rated) and pump design.
