Skimmer Line Partially Blocked

Is there a tried and true method for debugging/unblocking a partially blocked suction line form a skimmer to the pump?

I tried running a plumbing snake through the line but ran into a 90 degree elbow right away. I tried one of those water jets that attach to your garden hose for unclogging waste lines, but that didn't work either.

Any pointers to posts that address this issue would be greatly appreciated!

Do you know what's blocking the skimmer line? More specifically, do you know for sure that there was some way for an extraneous object to get into the line?

I am asking because I had a similar problem, but I finally discovered that the flap in a check valve on the skimmer line had broken loose and was blocking the flow. The valve, I think, was there to prevent backflow from the dirty side of the filters into the pool when the solar panels are emptying.

There was no simple way for anything else to get into the line.
