Any advice on what type of light to purchase for an AG 27' round pool?
Saw one type in a pool store today, that requires no drilling or anything, just take top part of pool rail off and it hangs on side? Doesn't interfer with your return line or anything. Not sure what the name of it was but it also comes with different color lenses. $110.00.
I'm thinking it was called Nite Lighter or something like that?
Anyone have one of those?
What about safety? A little nervous about having something electrical in pool:eek:

We had one of those awhile back and it worked well. Notice I said HAD. Until the golden retrievers decided to chew the cord in two! (Wasn't plugged in of course, or we would probably have fried doggies!!)

I have the Nightliter. I don't have the colored lenses type, jus the 50 watt version. Yes, it hangs under the rail. I like it, but think I'll get another one. I also have a 27' round AG. One is good enough to light the pool, but not as bright as I would like. Just personal preference, I guess.

One more thing. Its completly water proof. The lense comes off to replace the bulb. It has a pretty good seal. To be on the safe side I would make sure any light or electrical device is plugged in or wired through a line with a GFCI.

We've got the niteliter on our 18' AG. (I think the lower wattage one) We haven't had any problems out of it yet. We've got the colored lenses, but don't really care for them.

Do you find it bright enough?

love my aqualuminator, the free fountain attachment is awesome, but hard to get used to putting on.

lol, our pool is under the big farm yard light - no additional lighting needed, but man is it a Junebug attractor! Don't have any problems with other bugs getting in the pool but those 1000 or more Junebugs make a pilgramige to my pool each summer for about 2 weeks.

The lower watt one is fine for our 18', but I don't think it would light up a larger one. And if you use the colored covers it dims it some.

There's also the GlowBuoy which has gotten Good reviews. It floats and is rechargeable, but it lights up 24,000 gallon pool (18X36 In Ground).

We have a Glowbuoy but I don't like it much. It tends to get in the way and my dtr conked her head on it the last time we used it. Resulting in big tears and the end of swimming that night.

We now have a Nova which sounds similar to what you are considering only with 100 w bulb. I like the color lenses better than the clear and they are easy to change. Here is where we got ours.
