Well, its now the second summer with the pool and the first official opening after closing for the winter. When the PB closed the pool he added what looked like 4 gallons of Chlorine, maybe there was something else in his jug. Now, the pool has been opened yesterday... finally and the PB's came, hooked up their massive pump, brushed all the green goo and crap and water mess off the top cover into the pump and down the street. Ok, so I was expecting some green soup that everyone else seems to expect when they open their pools, especially since I had a fairly late opening May 24. But low and behold, the pool looks clear with the exception of some dirt and bugs floating around, it looks like I could have just jumped in and started swimming... with the exception of the 55 degree weather. What gives? why didnt I get the green soup everyone was talking about?
