We have a solar cover (with the bubbles) cut to fit our 18x52 metal frame pool. I am curious if you think it would still work with the intex debris cover on or do I need to take it off so the sun has full contact with the solar mat

The reason I ask is that we usually have the solar mat over the water when not in use but we are 1/2 over a small tree so we cover with the regular cover at night. It is hard to put the regular cover back on myself and I hate to have to take off and on if we are not planning to go in the pool that day

I had the debri cover and its a pia to put on. Leave the solar cover on and get out the leaf net, and a soft long handled brush when you pull off the cover. I slip one edge of the solar cover out of the pool and sweep with a soft bush what I can off to the sides. The rest as I fan fold the cover off gets scooped up out of the water from the pool. Does this make sence? I used the same brush when I had a mustard bloom last year because of too high of CYA from pucks in a turtle. Kim

Ditto. We don't use a debri cover just the solar cover and a broom as we roll it up.
