Just got everything ready to circulate and the hose attachment to the aqualuminator is leaking pretty good. I have readjusted both the hose and the clamp. Attempted to tighten as much as I could. I remembered the installer put duct tape around it first. The pool co. which I despise, today told me to put vaseline on it not duct tape. It seems to me the vaseline would only make it slip off easier. I don't trust their oppinions anyway (long story). So, what does anyone that has knowledge about this recommend? I bought and extra clamp today which I intend to use, but so far the duct tape is leaning towards my favor....

HELP!

I had a similiar problem and used silicone caulk on the threads of the fitting and along the outside edge of the seam. Let it cure a few hours before running the pump (mine was leaking more when the pump was running, due to water pressure). Works great, no leaks now.

The fitting on the aqualuminator is about 1/32 to 1/64th smaller than a standard fitting, thus the leak. I glued a vale body and a disconnect union to mine, using lots of glue and made sure it all cured well before installing, have never had an issue with it.
