Good Evening All...
I recently purchased a home with a gunite pool. My last two homes have both had vinyl 20X40 inground pools. For the record, my new pool is significantly smaller. I believe the builder called it an "oasis" pool with a elevated spa. In any event, I have a Polaris 360 (that was left with the home when I purchased it), and a Aquabot clone (I purchased it from intheswim.com), and it looks exactly like the aquabot but has in the swim's name on it. I bought it a few years ago for about $1200, and it did fine in my last pool. That said, it really doesn't seem to be picking up as much as I feel it should with my gunite pool, and it seems to get stuck ALL THE TIME!!!!!! I never had this issue with my vinyl pools.
My question is this...Are some of the automatic cleaners better for gunite pools, and if so, which ones? I need to figure out a solution before this babysitting of my pool cleaner drives me nuts! Any and all feedback is most appreciated.
