We bought a house last summer with an IG pool (my first pool ownership). I am fairly handy and haven't had any issues to speak of. My only grip is the Kreepy Krauley needs nearly constant attention while running. If it's hose isn't getting stuck in one of the skimmers (it has its own dedicated suction port), I am untangling hose or I'm am having to clean the small basket near the filter it sucks in to. It also doesn't seem to get in to the far corners of the pool (hose is long enough) and there's always dirt and debris there I have to brush to circulate it around.

I'm thinking of replacing it with a Polaris 360 using one of my return jets (I have a 2HP pump, so that shouldn't be an issue). I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions. I'm also not sure what to do with the dedicated suction port if the KK isn't using it. TIA!

I also have a KK with my new pool and experience a lot of the same probs you are. Constantly have to babysit the thing, so much so its almost easier if I just vacumn it myself. I hate when it gets stuck above the water line and starts sucking air, what a pain. Did you try messing around with the weights, I had some success moving them around. I think it also came with directional eyeballs that prevented the KK from being pushed away by the return jets.

Overall, I guess it was a good product like 15-20 years ago, but now I guess you get what you pay for... mine just came with the pool.

Doesnt your dedicated KK line have a safety cap on it... ours has a hinged lid that snaps shut.

Me too. Don't think it would be my first choice.

Mine is just an open port when the KK hose is removed.
