Why aren't the bleach concentrations posted on the bottles anymore? Are we to assume that one gallon sizes are 5.25%, and 3/4 gallon sizes are 6%?

I think we will soon see diluted bleach as soon, and the manufacturers will have the nerve to call it "new and improved".

I've noticed the same lack of printed %. If it doesn't say, I don't buy.

That is annoying. There is a Dollar Tree around here and they don't list it so I pay more elsewhere. If anyone can confirm that it's 6% let me know.

Everyone's always talking about bleach at Lowe's and Home Depot but I've yet to find any there.

To the OP: don't assume anything about bleach strength if it isn't listed on the bottle.

Walmart's generic 'ultra' bleach is 6%. It doesn't have an ingredient label, but within the warnings on the label it says 6% sodium hypochlorite. Just checked a recently purchased bottle a couple of minutes ago. I "think" ultra bleaches will all be 6%, but that may not be correct.

I just purchased some Clorox yesterday (large bottle...something like 196 oz) and it didn't say "ultra" on it...but the label did say 6%. So I would just very carefully check the labels before purchasing.

Sent my wife to the store the other day to get some bleach that was on sale for $1.49 for a gallon of 5.25% Pathmark brand. She told me there was another brand there that was listed at $1.49 as the regular price. I went the next day and checked it out and this gallon size that was priced less on a regular basis listed its concentration as 4.0%.
