I had my pool replastered in the spring. The instructions stressed that when closing the pool for the winter the water should be drawn down only a couple of inches this first year since the plaster cures for two years. I don't have a probem keeping the cover pumped off so the water stays below the tile, but I am concerned about the bottom drain line. I blow out all the other lines, and I normally take the water down about 18" to get below the frost line so I don't have a problem with the horizonal run of the drain. This year since I am only down a couple of inches I know I am not below the frost line. Should I be concerned?
