I don't know how I missed this post. It turned out great. I like the simple geometric shape; it's a nice clean look. Enjoy!

Thanks, Sean. I'm pleased with the way it turned out.

And, like the B family, we heated the pool over the Thanksgiving weekend. At one point, we had 13 people in that tiny pool. It was a blast.

It's a strange feeling when the pool water is warmer than the surrounding air.

Jeff,

What did you use for the plaster finish?

It's colored plaster, with quartz aggregate mixed in.

Your pool looks very refreshing. It maybe small but it looks very artistic and usefull. It would be just what I'd like. I love the clean simple lines.

I do have one question though. Do you worry about anyone stepping out your back door and into your pool? Maybe the picts are decieving and there is more space between your back door and pool edge than I think I see? Our kids are about out of high school, so for us it probably wouldn't be a big problem. Do you have alarms or something, or one of those big nets that strap over it? I have seen a few inground pools in this forum built fairly close to back doors. I guess all codes are different in each state.

Thanks for sharing the great picts. Kimrst

Thanks for the nice comments.

From the backdoor to the water's edge right at the steps, it's around seven feet. I figure if someone has a stride long enough to cover that in one step, he or she is probably tall enough to stand up anywhere in the pool. :D

Anyway, we don't have kids and the gate to the backyard is locked, so there ought not be anyone just wandering in.
