We are considering using some of Pacific's blue or gray steps instead of white on our vl ig pool that is getting ready to start building.
We had a previous vl pool with white steps. They were fine and I know the majority of us have white steps. Our polaris would miss the steps sometimes and there was usually a bit of fine dirt on the steps. We are thinking the darker color may hide more and be a little softer on the eyes. However, i'm a bit worried about fading/bleach etc.
Ideas?
thanks,
Cal

I installed the blue steps from Pacific and love it. We have only had it one season, but it hasn't faded any. We chose a dark liner and think it looks good with it. As for seeing any dirt, we could still see the fine dirt sitting on steps, but maybe not as noticable as white, but still could see it. I have two returns on my steps and have one nozzle aimed slightly towards the step that seems to help out with the dirt. I also have gr*** now and it isn't much of a problem.

Katybug,

Would you mind posing a couple of pics, please?

I've got a couple pictures of a pool we finished today with grey granite steps and a grey pebbletite liner from pacific pools. I had a tough time getting into a good place to get a good picture, but hopefully these will give you a good idea.

Yes, I can do that. May need a little help posting, but I can try. Will be Saturday before I get back home.
