The catalog reads:
"One-Way Winter Pool Valve: Eliminates tiresome water draining to make closing your pool a SNAP! Replaces old "eyeball" return fittings in your in-ground pool. Lets you drain water inside the lines, fill with anti-freeze, and keep pool water from re-entering the lines."
Has anyone used anything like these things before? I think if they work, they'd be well worth it.
We thought we had the winter plug screwed in correctly last year while doing the tag team "I'll blow, you screw" method of clearing & plugging the lines. We were wrong. The fitting was screwed on cockeyed, and so water got into the line, froze up and ruined it. $2K in new lines later, I'm looking for a better solution. Here's the link. Anyone have comments?
