If am adding some cyanuric acid to my pool, how long should I wait until I swim?
I'm guessing that depends on how much cyanuric acid I'm adding. So let's say, 2lbs or 4lbs for now.

If it's cyanuric acid, you can swim immediately...no need to wait.

Endeavor,
Download the Bleach Calculator from the site in the sticky to make sure you add the proper amount of CYA. I didn't see anything in your profile about your pool but you REALLY, REALLY DO NOT want to add too much!!!!
All the "public" recommendations are 30 -50 ppm but IMO don't go above 30 ppm unless your SWG.
Janet is right ---- SWIM!!

what's SWG?
I have a salt chlorine generator, and its manual recommends 60-80ppm. Right now I'm a little less than 30ppm, and the chlorine level seems stable at "1" (It's supposed to be 1-5). My pool is around 16,000 gallons.
According to the calculator, (after I changed all the units), I need around 3.8lbs of cyanuric acid to get to 60ppm. I have maybe 2lbs of extra cyanuric acid left over from a month ago, so I'll probably just add that and see if it works fine.
