I've been reading the posts here and in the other sections of the forum, and I see distilled water mentioned sometimes. Should the bleach be diluted with distilled water when being put into the pool? Or is that just for some types of pools?

mccato, welcome to the forum! The only time that distilled water is used (to the best of my knowledge) is when testing chlorine with an OTO tes kit (OTO turns the water yellow when chlorine is present but only tests up to 5 ppm, so you can use distilled water added in ratios to the pool water (2:1, 3:1) to test for 10 ppm and 15 ppm, respectively) - There is a decrease in accuracy the more you dilute the test water. If you don't use OTO to test chlorine, don't worry about the distilled water, if you do, read the 'stickies' in the 'using chlorine' and other areas - actually, it'd be a good idea to read all the stickies and read through www.poolsolutions.com as that will give you the 'basics' of pool care.
Again, welcome aboard! - Waste
