I have an Aquabot that keeps getting tangled in the cord. It seems that maybe the cord floats into the path when it is scrubbing the wall. I don't know for sure because I have not seen it happen as the robot usually gets run at night.

I have had this robot for five years and have never had this problem before. I am very familiar with its parts and workings. I have replaced all of the replaceable parts (scrubbers, bands and tracks) over the years. Otherwise it is working fine.

Any thoughts?

I've had the machine (T-4) crawl over the cord when the cord is over the edge of the pool (where it enters). I run the cord out over the diving board so it enters the water away from the edge.
Since you've had the machine for a while I'm sure you do the standard.
Turn Handle (reverse) every time you run it
Only put enough cord in the pool to go to the furtherest point,
Untwist the cord when putting it in the pool
Burp the machine when putting it in pool.
Check weights or floats so it is not climbing too high on the wall

I had trouble with a Dolphin when the wires got twisted inside the floating jacket --- took a replacement cord to fix it. --- Sold it on Ebay.

Hope this helps.
