acid wash for kool-deck

We had a new IGP built about 4 months old. When construction was totally complete they "acid washed" the kool-deck surface and it looked great. We get a lot of algae and dirt (deck is not sealer) and I would like to acid wash it occasionally to make it look fresh. I know it removes the top surface of concrete and not something I can do all the time but what concentration and application hints? Beside the obvious protection to myself from acid solution.

Skip the acid. Pressure cleaner or a stiff brush on a handle, scrub with straight bleach, and then hose off. The acid is just going to etch the deck, after a few times that nice deck will not look so nice.

My husband says his when his parents had a pool, his Mom used to go out every morning with a broom, dip it in the pool, and sweep the decking with the water. The chlorinated water kept the deck algea-free!
Much cheaper than acid OR pressure washing, though a bit more work daily...

That is a great idea....we have the largest issue where we have a low spot in the deck that puddles so i sweep it off nearly everyday.(Florida rainy season rains every afternoon) so it will be easy to dip broom in pool afterwards.
