Is there any special care needed for flagstone coping ?
My builder went bk 3 mos. after completing the pool. As far as I know, nothing has been done to the stone (sealer etc.).
Thanks,
Craig

Craig,
I can't tell you for sure as I'm a new pool owner myself (pool was finished in April). I can tell you that we have flagstone coping and like it a lot. The pool company is very reputable and we were pleased with their work. They did not seal the coping or mention anything about sealing it.

Welcome Island,

There are many different varieties of flagstone, with different porosity/ maintenance needs. Do you know what kind of flagstone was installed on your pool? That would help folks here answer your question accurately.
PS- Sorry to hear about the PB; a great reminder to others to ask any lingering questions on completion!

I too, live in central Maryland. May I ask who did your pool?

I also live in Maryland and am getting flagstone coping. We were told it needed no special care. Backyard Creations, Frederick, MD is our PB.
