Hi,
I'm replacing a very old light assembly that does not work. I think it's an old Purex, perhaps 20 years old? w/ 10" outer ring. The reason I'm replacing the whole thing is it's full of melted resin!

Anyway, a couple questions for anyone who's done this sort of thing,
I ordered a Pentair Amerilight.
Will this "standard" light fit the niche I have or am I going to run into problems with any replacement? I don't think I can get an exact replacement for the old one.
How do I get the cable from the new light through the conduit? Should I pull a cord through first with the old cable, or just try to attach the new cable to the old one and pull that? I'm worried about it seperating mid way.
Thanks for the advice in advance
Dave B
