Yesterday I turned on a waterfall that spills in the spa while we were in there relaxing and noticed a smell to the water that was coming in. I also have two shear decents all of which are running on seperate pumps and there is built up water that I'm assuming stays in the plumbing. I never thought of circulating the water to get a fresh source of chlorine. Is this something that I should set on my timer to have it circulate every xx amount of time and how often, and how long, each pump can be set on a timer with my goldline control unit.

Yes! When possible you should exchange the water in 'less' used piping at least 1x/day. Algae and 'bio-nasties' can make those areas a breading ground, why mess up a well maintained pool by dumping in some 'swamp water'?

thanks I'll set it to my timer for 5 minutes a day.
