Sudden cloudiness?

Have pool for 30 years....never had onset of cloudiness in the water almost instantly! Have been using liquid algaecide for the first time...could this be the problem . And will a "clarifier" help?:confused:

Hi Welcome to the forum!, you will have to post a full set of numbers so we can tell what is going on with the pool.

Free Chlorine
Combined Chlorine
Total Chlorine
PH
Alkalinity
Calcium
CYA

We also need to know what kind of pool - vinyl, plaster, fiberglass.
