I started the BBB method 3 weeks ago and have been amazed by the results. I removed a Nature2 cartridge along with an automatic chlorinator. Added stabilizer using the "panty hose" technique!
I received your test kit today and the results are shown below:
FC 4
CC 0.5
TC 4.5
pH 7.5
Alk 190
Cal 240
Cya 45
temp 82
Are these about right? Any suggestions?

Very nice numbers. You have a good understanding of what's involved to get and keep good pool water chemistry. Nice work.
No rush, but you may want to consider lowering your Alk down around 100. Read "lowering Alk...." in that forum.

Thank you. I will look at the posts for how to reduce alky.
Didn't think it to be a problem with vinyl liners.
Thanks again.

I agree. If you have a vinyl pool, the T/A is acceptable, still under the 200 limit, but a little too close for my taste. If pH goes up for some reason, T/A will pass 200. Still, as Dave says, no rush to lower it. CH is good.
With an FC of 4 and a cc of .5, I'd shock it up once more and then look for FC to be around 5 generally. I know the Best Guess says 30-50 CYA means 3-6 FC, but with CYA at 45, you might want to stay closer to the top of that range.
Beyond that, I consider your numbers to need routine adjustments, no more. Congratulations! Enjoy your pool!
