OK, I am new to the site and in the market for a new pool. I have 5 bids out right now. I have seen equipment from Jandy, Hayward, Pentair, etc. If anyone of you (existing pool owners) had your choice now, what equipment would you select? (my pool = In ground Gunite - 18x36 20,000 gal. Salt Water System)

Pumps -
Filters -
Valves -
Controllers -
Lights (mulit-color) -

Also, with the salt systems now being designed, does anyone have a preference over the newer aggregate pool coatings over the old reliable plaster?

I welcome any and all opinions.:) :) :)

Equipment from any of the Fab 4 (Jandy,Pentair,StaRite,Hayward) is all well engineered and constructed. If you buy a full equipment set (any 3 of this 4, heater, filter, motor, controller) you'll be rewarded with an extended warranty.
My preference is:
1st Jandy
PHPU 1 hp no spa, 2hp with spa, DEL 60, Neverlube, PDA radio remote, and JPL colored lights
2nd Pentair
Whisperflow or Challenger (same hp's) FNS 60, Neverlube, Intellitouch
3rd- StaRite
4th- Hayward
You can't go wrong with any of the products from these Mfg's

See Ya,
Kelly
