I just had a new pool constructed. We went with Pebble Tec "Tahoe Blue". When I got home from work the Pebble Tec company already started filling the pool with water. I noticed white streaks around different areas of the pool, the other areas looked more natural pebble look. Is this because they didn't do a good job on the ACID WASHED part of the pebble tec? The pool is filled now and you can still see some white streaks. The pool Rep first said it's normal, but after more of my question, said it is more streaky then other pools he seen, but it should fade over time. Any ideas? Should I drain the pool and make them ACID WASH again? Thank You

Have the pool company sign a statement that the pool color will normalize over some specific time or they will fix the problem.
I think after a few weeks you will find that the builder is right. I think you could do an acid start up and brush the pool twice a day to hasten the fix - ask your builder about it.

Like Felix the Cat, whenever I get in a fix, I reach into my bag of tricks!!!
For a situation like yours I use a pump up sprayer thats half full of rocks.
I put acid into it and swim underwater to spray the areas and brush the chalkiness out. The sprayer won't float up and away from you with the ballast of rocks.
See ya,
