Filter Pressure question

First post here so bare with me..

I have a Penair 4000 Series™ Filters. salt pool, chemicals are perfect (dont have my readings in front of me)..

I cleaned the grids,tub and put back together (first time). Now I'm noticing my pressure building quick..

Normally pressure would be 10-12 psi, once it would get to 18-20 (three months), I would back flush, reapply de and it would be fine for months..Now after completley cleaning grids and/or backflushing it will reach 20 in 3 days:mad:

I had never cleaned the grids myself until this time and wondering if I did something wrong?????

Water clarity is fine, chemicals etc...

Something from your water is plugging up your filter......algae is my first thought. Test numbers posted might give another clue.

Thanks I will post my latest readings when I get home.. Does the algae have to be visible??

I did have a low chlorine problem 2 weeks ago, but never saw algae..
