Hello all, and may I add that this is a very nice and helpful site. I am pretty much new to pools. Bought an a/g pool, 27' round x 52" deep but in reality it is 48" deep = 17,200 gallons. Got a really good price on it and it came with a waterco sand filter and pump. Anyone know if this is a good filter and pump?
Specs are:
18" sand filter
filtration area sq. ft. = 1.733
Max flow usgallons/min = 35 gallons
filter media = 165 lbs
pump = 1.5hp 115v
Also just ordered a Hayward Aquarite system for it which should be in this Friday. Am i on the right track or should I uprade pump and filter.
I also have a 3/4 hp 220v hayward super pump with 18'' sand filter laying around. Should I use that one instead.
