Okay - the first test with the test kit showed that I had high CYA (100). So, I decided to do a partial drain and refill.
I think I am good to go - check and see:
FC - 9
CC - 0
TC - 9
pH - 7.4
Calcium - 250
CYA - 60
Alk - 100
salt - 3200
Temp - 82
I am going to bring the chlorine up to the shock level (with bleach) for that amount of CYA - which is 20 - and then let it drop to between 3 and 5.
Do you think that is good now?

Your numbers look terrific. Unless your water isn't clear, I wouldn't mess around. If your water is clear and you have no algae and no CC, there's no need to shock it up to 20. It's perfectly OK to run a pool with CYA=60--just keep FC in the 5 to 10 range.
I strongly suggest, however, that you GO SWIMMING!!!!!

Thanks, CarlD - that means a LOT coming from you - I have learned so much from you and this board. I started as a total idiot who did not know how to test much past the TC and pH from the el-cheapo kit to the mad scientist with Ben's Kit and the drop test for salt plus the 3Bs. Can do the whole thing myself!!
Amen to this board and all who have helped.
Oh - and I also have the Dolphin and LOVE it. Our pool is perfect!!
