I have an Aquabot Pool Rover Plus which I absolutely love. I use it maybe 2~3x/week as I have above average debris falling into the pool. The Pool Rover Plus does an absolutely a beautiful job picking up even the smallest junk out of the pool.

As happy as I am with the Pool Rover Plus, I am considering purchasing a Polaris 360 or a Letro Legend II (non booster pump pressure side cleaners) to just leave in the pool so the pool is constantly being cleaned when the filter is on. I'll just take it out to swim. Are there problems with this approach? This would be to compliment my Pool Rover Plus (I'll cut back usage to ~1x/week instead).

My Polaris 380 stays in the pool any time we are not swimming, and is scheduled to run from 4am - 7am each day by my Jandy controller. Works great this way.

MY 380 stayed in the pool for eight years (well it came out in the winter) with no adverse effects. We just pushed it to one side of the pool when we swam, really no need to remove it.

But the 360 works without a booster pump. it just attaches to a return line and could actually run 9HRs/day. Any averse consequence?

I don't know about pressure side cleaners, but I know that it is quite common in AZ to leave a suction side cleaner in the pool and connected to the vacuum port all the time so that the cleaner runs whenever the pump runs.
