We just got our kit and are happy to have it but not sure what to do now.
We have a 16,000 gal, inground, saltwater system. Here are our numbers.
FC=3
CC=0
TC=4
pH=8.2
Alk=160
Cal=70
Cya=30
Salt=3,000
temp=83
outside temp=94, days have been in the 100's here in So. Cal.
Thanks for any help and/or ideas.

I am not one of pool experts on this forum and I am curious to see what they say. I would say you need to lower the pH by adding muriatic acid. How much to add? There are guidelines on this forum if you search for it to tell you how much to add. Once you get the pH at least to 7.8 I would recheck the chlorine.

Lower your pH....sooner rather than later. 32 oz. of muriatic acid should get your down to 7.6 or so. Alk will come down with it...that's okay.
CYA is your call. Most SWG's normally run a higher (60-80ppm) CYA
All else is fine.

Thank you for your help. Can anyone give us an idea as to how much conditioner (for the CYA, right?) to add and what that will do for us? It has something to do with the chlorine, right? My husband would like suggestions on how to get it to disolve better. My apologies if these have already been answered. Hubby just had surgery and we have 4 teenagers. We are overwhelmed!
