There is very little discussion of Tiger Sharks here. The big thing they tend to emphasize is ease of cartridge for cleaning over filter bags. I have soem interest because they also have a Tiger Shark QC, which has a "more efficent" 1 hour cyle for quick clean-ups as an addtional option along with regular cycle.

Has anyone here ever cleaned the Tiger Shark filter cartridge, and also have cleaned a Dolphin or Aquabot filter bag, to compare the difference?

The cart pushed me away from the Tigershark.

There's an easy way to clean Dolphin and Blue Diamond bags: I turn it inside out and dunk it in a 5 gal bucket of water. Discard the water and repeat. I rarely have to use more than two buckets--I just use pool water.

Then toss the bag in the washing machine. No hosing down, no getting soaked.

What about the cart?

I would have no way of knowing.

But I had an Intex pool with a cart and I hated cleaning it. So I assumed I might see similar problems.

Jim, welcome to the forum! The company I work for sells the Tigersharks and I've had to play with a number of them. A simple hosing will clean the filters. As you have not purchased a cleaner yet, I'll tell you that about 1 out of 10 Tigersharks we sell are returned within the warantee period (however when taken to my boss' pool they seem to work fine - I think some of these people drag race the 'shark' against their kid's rc car on the pool deck which is a big no-no, the unit needs to be in the water to function properly.
I try not to 'sell' anything (or not-sell) but given the fact that we have ~ 1 out of 10 returns, you might look into the other units available, but if you are in the 90%, you'll love it. Just trying to be honest about it - Waste:)
