OK, we're up and running about a week now and it's mostly so far, so good. However, we have two spots with a bit of leakiness. One is just after the hose coming from the skimmer. Not huge, but a drip, drip, drip. I could probably ignore it, it's pretty slight. The other though is coming from the rigid connection from the DE filter back to the pump. It's a more insistent drip and/or minor spray. If I run the pump on the low speed it's not bad, but it seems to me like I shouldn't have to be concerned about this. Naturally, I called the guy who installed the pool who promised to come by and take a look and he hasn't shown up.

Do I have to take the whole thing apart to redo the connection or is there something I can apply topically that will seal it up better?

Better to re-do the fitting. Sounds like not enough teflon tape.

Is it leaking at a connection? Is the connection threaded or glued?
