Ok super newbie here but I have been reading as much as I can. I have a 27' AG pool. I recently added Borox to correct low ph. However after adding slowly a little each day my testing for clorine is seemingly not working. It has read 5 everyday for the last week. I am getting a new test kit today but just wanted to know if OTO test were affected by Borox.

Thanks

Mark

Have you been adding any chlorine over the last 5 days? If not then it probably has just been consumed and you need to add some. Has it been sunny lately but cloudy before that? The sun will cause chlorine to break down so if it was cloudy for a few days then got sunny your chlorine usage would change significantly.

OTO test is virtually bullet proof. That is it's main advantage. It is not the most accurate and only tests TC but if there is chlorine present it will find it!
