where can you buy CYA?

It's carried at practically all the pool stores. and locally in Walmart and Target It may not be labled CYA though.

I opened up to 0 CYA this year and just used tri-chlor tabs until my CYA got to ~40ppm and then switched to Bleach.

I've seen it at WalMart - are there WalMart stores in Canada? It's in a little jug and called Stabilizer or water conditioner.. I can't remember what name they call it but if you check the ingredients it is 100% CYA

Wal-Mart. I just bought some today. They label it conditioner I think. Comes in a 1 Kg container.

It should be in the pool section of your Walmart. Don't know if you have Lowe's or Home Depot in Canada, but if so, they also usually have it in their pool areas.

Yes. Pool Care is the brand. Stabilizer and Conditioner is what it's called.
